Since the pandemic, I have watched as the global, digital health market has grown over 300%. For over 10 years I've worked with medical providers and am excited about the impact new technology can have on improving patient outcomes and access, however I don’t believe we can move forward without a critical eye. This is especially true when addressing health disparities amongst communities (demographics) that have been impacted by institutionalized discrimination. 

Through this blog, we will explore questions such as, how is new technology in healthcare impacting diversity (representation) and health equity (access and outcomes)? What barriers currently exist in our system? Who are the pioneers working to remove barriers through technology? 

Along the way, I hope we can have some fun! Health equity is a heavy topic to dissect, it’s important we find community, laugh and take time to enjoy the richness of life.
